Humanity

We stand today on the brink. On the edge of a cliff we are always looking over and contemplating jumping off of. War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death are always around us. Some consider them the Four Horsemen. The harbingers of the end days. I think that is wrong. They represent humanity and it should not be so. Humanity is a Brotherhood. It is not represented by one man. It is not represented by a group of people. Humanity is represented by every Man, Woman, & Child upon this earth we call home and those in orbit around it. Together we make up a powerful network where every person is connected whether we know it or not. War keeps us disconnected, Confused, & Afraid. Famine keeps us hungry and needful. Pestilence makes us Sick and Weak. Death makes us Frightful and Dangerous. Though with Unity and Understanding we would have no need for War. With Unity and Understanding we can Feed the Hungry and teach them how to grow food. With Unity and Understanding we can Cure any Disease. With Unity and Understanding we do not need to fear Death for we know our Friends and Family will be Safe, Fed, and Healthy. With Unity and Understanding also comes one more thing. Compassion for the rest of Humanity. For is does not matter Who you are, Where you are from, What your Religion is, or what your Creed is. We are all the same because we are different. WE ARE HUMANITY!

The Greatest Speech Ever Made

The following is the greatest speech ever made by the silent film actor Charlie Chaplin. It is very inspiring & moving. It even made me cry. Everyone needs to watch or read this. It is definitely the greatest speech ever made. If you like it then share it & may it's message spread far & wide. For we need in now more then ever.

"I’m sorry but I don't want to be an Emperor – that's not my business – I don't want to rule or conquer anyone. I should like to help everyone if possible, Jew, gentile, black man, white. We all want to help one another, human beings are like that.

We all want to live by each other's happiness, not by each other's misery. We don't want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone and the earth is rich and can provide for everyone.

The way of life can be free and beautiful.

But we have lost the way.

Greed has poisoned men's souls – has barricaded the world with hate; has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed.

We have developed speed but we have shut ourselves in: machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical, our cleverness hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little: More than machinery we need humanity; More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.

The airplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men, cries out for universal brotherhood for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world, millions of despairing men, women and little children, victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people. To those who can hear me I say “Do not despair”.

The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed, the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress: the hate of men will pass and dictators die and the power they took from the people, will return to the people and so long as men die [now] liberty will never perish…

Soldiers – don't give yourselves to brutes, men who despise you and enslave you – who regiment your lives, tell you what to do, what to think and what to feel, who drill you, diet you, treat you as cattle, as cannon fodder.

Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men, machine men, with machine minds and machine hearts. You are not machines. You are not cattle. You are men. You have the love of humanity in your hearts. You don't hate – only the unloved hate. Only the unloved and the unnatural. Soldiers – don't fight for slavery, fight for liberty.

In the seventeenth chapter of Saint Luke it is written ” the kingdom of God is within man ” – not one man, nor a group of men – but in all men – in you, the people.

You the people have the power, the power to create machines, the power to create happiness. You the people have the power to make life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure. Then in the name of democracy let's use that power – let us all unite. Let us fight for a new world, a decent world that will give men a chance to work, that will give you the future and old age and security. By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power, but they lie. They do not fulfill their promise, they never will. Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people. Now let us fight to fulfill that promise. Let us fight to free the world, to do away with national barriers, do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men's happiness.

Soldiers – in the name of democracy, let us all unite!”

What it means to be a Gamer

I know I havent posted in a long time, close to a year in fact, but I only have a little to say as the videos I have for you pretty much say it all. What it means to be a gamer is that despite the console wars we gamers are an incredible community of young and old people. Despite occasional bouts of Racism, Homophobia, & Sexism in multi-player games there is one truth that brings us all together. That is the interactive medium that we all love and enjoy, that lets us be anything, or anyone in any time at any time we want. One moment you could be in a medieval setting slaying dragons and living a life of adventure, and the next you could be traveling the galaxy with a group of aliens and/or humans trying to save, or damn, the galaxy. You can be a modern hero, or the villain, you can fight Zombies, or explore a wasteland. We gamers spend incredible amounts of time in virtual worlds only limited by the human imagination, in a sense limitless. This is dragging on more then I thought so I'll stop lol.

As a gamer we influence ever world we touch. Nothing shows this better than this PS3 Commercial

Kevin Butler may be the PS3 Spokesperson but he speaks for all gamers at E3 2010.

GameFly hit the make when they released their Anthem Commercial. Gaming is Good, so Play More! :)

PS: I am not a PS3 Fanboy. I'm an Equal Opportunity Gamer. I just like their message. As a gamer I follow only one King and his name is Gaming! FOREVER MAY HE REIGN!

Hey World! WAKE THE HELL UP!

Yea I'm talking to you! I mean c'mon! We just killed the World's Most Wanted man & now your gonna bitch about it!? I mean c'mon people! Anyone else see whats wrong with that? This isn't the time to have a pissing match between countries! I mean we just ended an almost 10 year hunt and its looking like we will be heading right back to war just as one is ending? I mean c'mon people! This is your wake-up call people! I always thought that Music was a great inspiration. It was always there to set the tone or mood & to get certain meanings across. There seems to be a big trend in not just the music industry but other media as well & that is PEACE! If you have noticed scientists are also jumping on the bandwagon with philosophers as well. They all seem to think one of 2 things will happen. Either we will finally come to terms with each other & live peacefully with our fellow man. Thus banishing ignorance, racism, & sexism from our culture, or eventually we will destroy each other & it's Game Over with no reset button! I for one, and I know I am far from being alone here, am kinda hoping for the Peace & Prosperity option. Just try to remember..no one wants to go to war..not even those who declare it. No man or woman ever wishes to die. Sure it's inevitable but we would all rather die of old age then anything else.

Now for some Inspirational Music Videos!

Edwin Starr - War

John Lennon- Give Peace A Chance

John Lennon - Imagine (One of my favorite songs that calls for Peace. All you have to do is Imagine)

Terrorism

Yesterday was a Landmark in History. Finally we have closure and confirmation that the man behind many of the attacks on America & it's allies, Leader of Al-Qaeda, Osama Bin Laden has been killed. This will hopefully bring about either the complete collapse or mostly collapse the organization. This will likely be achieved by an internal power struggle that will end with an internal war for power within the organization. I'm reminded of an old saying, "If you cut the head off a snake, then the body will eventually wither and die." Though do not think that this is the end of Terrorism. Terrorism is defined as an Act of Terror. So by definition Columbine was an Act of Terrorism. Even domestic abuse could be considered Terrorism. If we all do our part, help those that need it, & respect our fellow man with enough time we can truly put an end to Terrorism.

Black & White & the Grey Area In-between

Alot of people think the world is Black & White. They would be wrong, Unfortunately. The world is not as Black & White as one might hope, for there is often an area in between these areas. A Grey zone where Black & White meet. There are many people in this world with many hopes and faiths be they based in religion, science, technology, or the unknown there will always be shades of Gray. In the struggle between Good & Evil, Black & White, there will always be a Gray neutral area in between. The Thin Gray Line is a term often used though the meeting of Black & White isnt nealy as thin as one might think. In a world where most people think in Black & White always remember it is never that simple. I am an example, one who prefers to walk on the grey road between Black & White.

I am a Child of Knowledge

The only True Creators of Knowledge in the world are the Children of Knowledge.
Those who See with Unveiled Sight,
Hear with Unplugged Ears,
Speak with Unbound Tongues,
and/or Think with an Unhindered Mind.

I am a seer and a visionary. I see the world with eyes that are not covered by the veil that is our precieved world and reality. Instead I see it as it truely is and all should see it as. I am a Child of Knowledge for I have the gift of Unveild Sight.

I am a free thinking, philosophical, intillectual. I continue to think about something long after most forget. I am able to ponder the mysteries of the universe, the workings of reality, & the masteries of Art and Science. If you were to ask me what I was thinking about at any given time it would take me over a year of continuous talking to explain it. While others minds think only about the common things that is limited by their precieved Reality, Morality, Law, & religion mine does not. I am a Child of Knowledge for I have the gift of the Unhindered Mind.

Where other men blindly follow the truth, remember, Nothing is true.

You don’t want to question why you’re doing what you’re doing? Fine -- you’re nothing better than a mindless, robotic slave, and you have essentially given up the human gift of choice. Having control taken away is a tangible punishment for accepting things on face value and blindly following orders. If you believe in a grand creator then I say this to you. That being gave unto you, unto us, the ability to think, speak, & act freely. So I say unto all of you, what are you? A mindless slave or a free being? There are a few things I'd like to point out. History is always written by the Victor. So in reality history is full of Lies & Deceit. Open your eyes to the true reality of the world. You may or may not like what you see, but you will be able to finally see the world with unveiled eyes. The world is constantly changing, though one thing that will never change is the need to unify the people that inhabit it. There can be no Peace, when the world is devoured by Rage. Ignorance breeds Hate, Hate breeds Rage, Rage breeds War, & War will destroy us all. Remember these words:

"Where other men blindly follow the truth, remember,
Nothing is true.
Where other men are limited by morality or law, remember,
Everything is permitted.
We work in the dark to serve the light.
Nothing is true. Everything is permitted."

Is this me?: Agreeableness

Introduction to Agreeableness This section of your profile describes your interactions with other people. The ways we communicate our feelings, beliefs and ideas to others are influenced by our cultural backgrounds, the way we were raised, and sometimes which side of the bed we got up on this morning. Some of us are very mindful of others making decisions we hope will be in their best interests, even if it means sometimes neglecting our own interests. Others of us believe each person should be responsible for themselves, taking deep pride in our own character and independence with a firm belief that others are best served by doing the same. The following describes how you engage with others; illustrating the dimension of your personality that determines your independence or your desire to reach out and touch others in meaningful ways.
You are best described as: TAKING CARE OF OTHERS AND TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF
Words that describe you: Fair Considered Collaborative Responsive Sensible Diplomatic Contemplative Indulgent Rational
A General Description of How You Interact with Others You are important. So are other people, especially if they are in trouble. You have a tender heart, but you know how to establish and keep personal boundaries. You are empathetic and compassionate, but you also believe that it's best if people solve their own problems and learn to take care of themselves, if they are able. You are deeply moved by the needs of others, but you know that if you don't take good care of yourself, you'll wind up being of no use to anyone. So yours is a thoughtful compassion. You strive to be fair and sensible, taking care of others while also taking care of yourself. When someone really is in trouble, you like to collaborate with them toward a solution; they do their part, you do yours. You consider carefully, and respond in a sensible way; they do their part, and together you move through the difficulty. You seldom act impulsively; rather, when a problem arises, you take your time to think through the situation. This contemplative quality usually means that you'll arrive at a diplomatic solution, one that's fair for the other person and also fair to you. It's frequently a win/win situation.
Negative Reactions Others May Have Toward You For people who are ruled by tender-hearted compassion, your more diplomatic response to problems might seem too cool, too focused on fairness and not filled enough with sympathy and selflessness. For them, when someone's life is on fire, what is needed is not collaboration but rescue. And the person who experiences their life on fire may resent the time you take to contemplate. "I need you, and I need you NOW! This isn't about fairness, it's about the fire." "All deliberate speed" may seem too deliberate and not fast enough, either to the more compassionate or to people in genuine trouble. At the other end of the spectrum of compassion, those who believe people should take care of themselves may find even your thoughtful sympathies too soft. They expect people, themselves included, to work their own way out of trouble. They are convinced that the helping hand you lend just fosters dependence and is not good for the development of character, either in you or in the person you assist.
Positive Responses Others May Have Toward You Many people, perhaps the majority, will come to appreciate your balance as a compassionate person. The more they get to know you, the more they will admire your thoughtful compassion for others and its compliment in the sensible ways you take good care of yourself. Those whom you help will appreciate the way you leave them with their dignity by expecting them to collaborate in their own rescue. Those who are more tender-hearted will find in you a balance they lack; when they've run out of energy because they fail to take good care of themselves, you will still have enough compassion left to lift others out of trouble. Even the tough-hearted, those who believe people should solve their own problems, might come to admire your tenderness which they don't find in themselves. So the people you help will be grateful, and the people who see your balance between self and others will admire you. Certainly, balanced is not bad at all as a way to be known among your friends.
